Welcome to the Catholic Campus Ministry at Virginia Tech, home of the Catholic Hokies! Whether you are new to Blacksburg or just new to our community, we are excited to meet you and help you to feel at home. Join our weekly email list to get updates on all the events happening during the semester or check out our upcoming events.

The center of our community is Jesus, our savior. Coming together to worship at Mass is the cornerstone of everything we do. Our Sunday worship is at the War Memorial Chapel on the Drillfield at 10 am, 12 pm, and 8 pm. You can find out more details about Mass and confession here.
“Being a part of the Newman Community has made my transition from community college to VT as amazing one. I have met some truly fantastic friends through daily Mass, night prayer, and my Small Group Bible Study. The wonderful staff makes me feel like I am right at home. I am so blessed to be a part of something so outstanding.”

During the week, many students come to visit the Newman House (203 Otey St), just up the hill from Squires Student Center. Daily Mass as well as daily adoration happen at the house. Students also come to do homework, catch up with friends, or even play some volleyball.

Our professional staff and student leadership want to help you get connected! Fr. David Sharland, YA is our full time Chaplain. He loves to cook almost as much as he loves connecting with students.

There are many ways to get involved in our community. Hundreds of students join Small Group Bible Studies and find them an awesome way to meet new friends and grow in community. We have a ton of ways to get more involved in the community. To find out more about our ministries, click on any of the links below.
