Fire and Ice
back
The purpose of the event was essentially to “break the ice and warm the fire” — On fire for Christ with our brothers and sisters! We wanted to welcome students back to campus and start off the semester seeking to grow our community, focused on spreading God’s love and forming friendships through fun and formative activities.

The activities for the evening were outdoor “snow” volleyball, alongside a big bonfire well-accompanied by a Do It Yourself s’mores bar. Indoors we had a lot of food – chips, buffalo chicken dip, soda, ice cream, cookies, etc. and a variety of activities. We had a dance floor for swing dancing and modern music, we had group games all throughout the house and a movie going on in the Ubi Caritas room.
This event ended up being a HUGE community event with close to 100 students attending! Many students commented that there were more “new faces” then “regulars” which was very encouraging and displayed an unparalleled outreach across the campus.
